Andrew has spent the last ten years as a professional boatbuilder. Starting his career as a traditional boatbuilder, transitioning to high-performance racing yachts. Projects of note include:

-led tradesmen for the rebuild of MV Krait for the national maritime museum 

-boatbuilder for Sydney to Hobart record holder Comanche 100

– boatbuilder for tattersall cup winner Ichiban 52

He is an avid skiff sailor, spending most spare time sailing, designing, building and modifying carbon fibre racing skiffs. He also likes to get a few km in on the bike when possible. 

He joined Carbonix to apply his expertise in development and manufacturing to achieve reliability and repeatability in an innovative product. Similar to performance sailing, Carbonix utilizes a diverse range of materials, technologies and talent whilst adding the challenge of commercial viability.
